SOLAR WATER HEATING
Contrary to popular belief the solar energy available from the sun in the UK can provide up to 70% of our hot water requirements.
With the latest solar technology we can even heat water on cloudy days due to irradiation through the clouds. An average life span of 25 years on solar systems means fixed price hot water energy that no energy supplier can match. |
AIR SOURCE HEAT PUMPS
Air source heat pumps absorb heat from the outside air. The heat generated can be used for conventional radiators and underfloor heating. This technology reverses the principle of fridges by extracting cool air and generating warm air. Air source pumps can even extract heat from outside temperatures of -15 Celsius.
In relative terms for every kilowatt of energy required to operate the system it can generate 5 kilowatts of heat power.
